A fabulous room that was both stylish and functional. Traditional Style is the most prominent style in New England. But it does not have to be boring! Add a great mix of color and fabrics with a little style and flare. Your traditional livingroom can be fun, stylish and functional.

All the way from Boring... Mixing Old and New Living with older furniture or antiques doesn't mean living in the past. Mix them with new design highlights. Adding some beautiful drapes, matching pillows and a beautiful new rug can take ho hum old to Elegent and Stylish. The rules of decorating are so deeply ingrained in our consciousness that we rarely consider challenging them. Its often the elements you don't think will go together that bring real style into a room.

A fresh approch to a traditional Cape Space Planning, a fundamental building block in design. The basic idea behind space planning has a long pedigree. From earliest recorded time, basic rules of composition have been closely associated with the meaning of life. In residence space planning, the concept takes on more importance in larger homes. In smaller rooms the use is obvious. Design does not determine function; space planning does. Design is comprised of three basic functions. First, Space planning or the manipulation of abstract space on a flat plan. Second, interior design or the actual design. Design gives life and dimension to the flat plan. The third step is the finishing touches called decoration. This is the step many jump to first. Decoration is a pleasing addition but not essential to a design.
